SAMOVAR

SAMOVAR is a short film inspired by Raoul Wallenberg who was disappeared after saving as many as 100,000 Jews during the Holocaust. The piece is written by renowned playwright, Frank McGuinness, and directed by BAFTA-nominated Lia Williams. It stars Angus Wright and Alex Lawther as Raoul and Anton respectively and was shot at a former communist prison just outside Bucharest, Romania. It had its world premiere at the BAFTA qualifying UK Jewish Film Festival and has been picked up for distribution by ShortsTV and Directors Notes.
